KNOXVILLE -- The University of Tennessee has begun the search for a new vice president for development and alumni affairs.
The committee, chaired by UT Executive Vice President David Millhorn, kicked off the search today in its first meeting. The committee reviewed the job description and discussed the importance of this position.
The vice president for development and alumni affairs serves as the University's chief development officer provides leadership, planning, coordination and management of development and alumni affairs programs for the entire multi-campus university system. The vice president also serves as president of the University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc.
In addition to Millhorn, the committee includes 18 members representing the University and outside relationships:
The new vice president will replace Henry Nemcik, who left the University last summer. Scott Rabenold is serving as acting vice president.
