UT Board of Trustees Holds Committee Meetings and Workshop Sept. 5-6 in Nashville

KNOXVILLE – The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees' Executive and Compensation and Health Affairs committees will meet Sept. 5, and the board's annual workshop will be held Sept. 5-6 in Nashville.

The Executive and Compensation Committee will meet at 9:30 a.m. CDT followed by the Health Affairs Committee at 11 a.m. CDT. Both meetings will be held in the Commissioner's Conference Room in the Moss Administration Building at the Ellington Agricultural Center. Two committee members unable to be present in person will be permitted to participate in the meetings by telephone.

The workshop will begin at 12:50 p.m. CDT and recess at 5 p.m. CDT on Sept. 5. It will reconvene at 8:30 a.m. CDT and end at noon CDT on Sept. 6. The workshop will be held in the Ed Jones Auditorium at the Ellington Agricultural Center and will focus on issues related to retention and graduation rates.

Agenda items for the Executive and Compensation Committee include:

  • President's remarks
  • Plans for the use of properties located at 1525 and 1610 University Ave, Knoxville
  • Sale of 940 Cherokee Blvd, Knoxville
  • Grant of tenure to a UTC faculty member under expedited procedures
  • Grant of tenure to six UT Knoxville faculty members under expedited procedures
  • Tentative schedule and agenda for the 2013 fall meeting
  • Revised dates for the 2014 fall meeting
  • Setting two regular Executive and Compensation Committee meeting dates in 2014

Agenda items for the Health Affairs Committee include:

  • FY2013 financial review of faculty practice plans in Memphis
  • UTMP Phase II implementation update
  • UT MED practice plan update
  • Setting two regular Health Affairs Committee meeting dates in 2014
