UT Hosts Online Education Open House Oct. 10 at Kingsport Center for Higher Education

KINGSPORT -- The University of Tennessee will host an open house Oct. 10 for Kingsport-area residents to learn about online degree and certificate programs offered through the UT Martin, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Health Science Center campuses.

The open house will be held from 5–7 p.m. at the Kingsport Center for Higher Education located at 300 W. Market St. in downtown Kingsport.

“Our more than 50 online degree and certificate programs offer a quality education in a flexible format to meet students’ changing demands,” said Gloria Gammell, UT’s program manager at the Kingsport Center. “The open house will allow prospective students the opportunity to hear about our offerings and the resources available through the Kingsport Center as well as to speak directly with representatives from several of our programs.”

Faculty and staff from 13 of UT’s 55 online programs will be available to answer questions about requirements, deadlines and application processes. Programs featured at the open house will include:

  • Bachelor of Science Business Administration-Management (UTM)
  • Bachelor of Science Nursing (RN/BSN) (UTC, UTM)
  • Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (UTM)
  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology (UTHSC)
  • Master of Science in Education (several concentrations) (UTM)
  • Master of Science in Information Sciences (UTK)
  • Master of Science in Industrial Engineering (UTSI)
  • Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering (UTK)
  • Master of Health Informatics and Information Management (UTHSC)
  • Master in Dental Hygiene (UTHSC)
  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (UTC, UTHSC)
  • Nuclear Criticality Safety (UTK)
  • Reliability and Maintainability Engineering (UTK)

Pre-registration is not required to attend the open house. Light refreshments will be served, and free parking is available in the lots on Market and Clay streets.
