The university special events calendar was created as a resource to help all units in planning events.
Because the university is large and our initiatives are great, it is important that we have a centralized method of sharing those university events for the following reasons:
- Facilitate success in achieving event objectives
- Improve collaboration and relationships between university staffs
- Maximize opportunities so that the president’s office is able to act proactively to units that request presidential and top leadership participation at events
- Help planners meet protocol expectations
- Help avoid scheduling conflicts, especially when targeting the same audience
