Gloria Tipton

For 30 years, Gloria has been helping UT students and faculty

Serving both students and the University for 30 years has made Gloria Tipton proud.

"The University of Tennessee, Knoxville is an icon in the area," Gloria said. "There is no better place to meet people from all walks of life."

Gloria's job as an administrative support assistant for UT's Office of Information Technology allows her to meet people and interact with all kinds of students. "I love working with the students here," Gloria said. "It makes me feel like a 'Proud Mama' when I read about them in different publications or learn about some of the great things they are doing."

Working for the University also has given Gloria the opportunity to serve as an advocate for UT employees on various councils and boards.

Gloria is a proud mother of three, grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of four. In her free time, she attends drag race competitions, works with seniors at her church and does arts and crafts projects with her grandchildren.
