Marilyn Butler can't imagine any place she would rather work than UT.
"I started working at UT in 1966, and I wanted to go where the action was. When I began working in admissions, I knew my wish had come true!" Marilyn said.
Marilyn's 30 years at UT have certainly been full of action and adventure. She got to know past UT President Andy Holt and also had the chance to hear Alex Haley, author of Roots, tell his life story.
Being part of the UT family is a major benefit for Marilyn, who is now an administrative assistant for the UT Office of Information Technology. "It takes all of us working together in our individual roles to accomplish the University's mission," she said.
Marilyn has two children, Amy and Andrea, and enjoys photography, gardening and event planning.
