The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will hold its fall meetings Oct. 23–24 in the UT System suite located on the first floor of the UT Tower (400 W. Summit Hill Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee 37902).
Meetings are scheduled as follows:
- Thursday, Oct. 23
- 12:30 p.m. EDT – Finance and Administration Committee
- 1:45 p.m. EDT – Audit and Compliance Committee (public session)
- The executive, nonpublic session of the Audit and Compliance Committee will immediately follow the conclusion of the public session.
- Friday, Oct. 24
- 8:30 a.m. EDT – Education, Research and Service Committee
- 10:45 a.m. EDT – Fall Meeting of the Board of Trustees
All meeting times are approximate. If a meeting ends earlier or later than expected, the next meeting may begin following a short break. All public meetings will be webcast live and archived for later viewing; a link to the webcast will be available at tennessee.edu.
Agenda items include, but are not limited to:
- President’s report
- UT System strategic plan
- Fiscal year 2026-27 operating budget appropriations request for specialized units
- Capital project approvals
- Proposed UT Health Science Center affiliation agreement
- Proposed new academic unit – College of Nursing, UT Chattanooga
- Campus strategic enrollment plans (UT Chattanooga, UT Southern and UT Health Science Center)

Requests to address the board concerning items on the meeting agenda or other issues germane to the responsibilities of the board may be submitted using the registration form available at https://tennessee.edu/about/leadership/board-of-trustees/engage/request-to-appear/. Requests will be accepted until 5 p.m. EDT on Monday, Oct. 20. The board’s Standing Rule Governing Requests to Address the Board (also available at the above link) describes the procedures, terms and conditions that govern requests to address the board. The Board of Trustees will notify registrants whether they will be scheduled to speak at the meeting and, if so, the specific time and place of their presentations.
Visitors to the UT Tower must have a REAL ID–compliant driver’s license, a passport or other accepted form of identification that meets the requirements for access to federal property.
Anyone with a disability or otherwise needing assistance to attend this meeting may contact the individuals listed below to request auxiliary aids or services needed to facilitate attendance. Contact may be made in person, by writing, by email, by telephone or otherwise and should be received no later than 5 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, Oct. 22.
