Why This Matters

Finding purpose and meaning in daily life isn’t always easy, yet it plays an important role in well-being and connection.  Integrating spiritual wellness — expanding one’s sense of purpose and meaning — influences how we navigate challenges, connect with others and stay grounded in our values across campuses.

Sometimes, conversations about purpose and meaning can feel difficult to have, even though many people experience moments of disconnection or uncertainty. Creating intentional space for these conversations helps normalize those experiences and encourages deeper connection.

By exploring spiritual wellness together, we can reflect on what gives our work and lives meaning, strengthen relationships and foster a more connected campus community.

About this Event

This is the third hybrid Well-Informed series session coordinated with the UT System Chief Wellness Officer Dr. Jessi Gold, in partnership with UTK wellness staff. This session will focus on spiritual wellness — a topic that can feel difficult to name or discuss in workplace settings. Through keynote talks, panel conversations and interactive activities, participants will explore how purpose, meaning and values show up in daily life and work. The session will also examine how spiritual wellness can support connection, resilience, and overall well-being. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Full agenda below.
