Finance and Administration

The UT System Division of Finance and Administration is responsible for developing financial and operational strategies, overseeing budgeting and accounting, managing cash and endowment investments, supporting enterprise resource planning, and leading human resources, capital projects, and enterprise-wide IT operations.

Our Departments

  • The Office of Budget, Analysis and Planning develops the university’s annual budget, supports strategic planning and manages financial reporting to guide informed decision-making.

  • The Department of Capital Projects oversees capital improvement programs and real property management, supporting UT campuses and institutes with planning, development and space administration.

  • The Department of Human Resources supports a thriving, innovative workforce by leading strategic initiatives, fostering collaboration and delivering best-in-class programs and services.

  • The Investment Office manages the majority of UT’s invested assets, including the endowment and charitable remainder trusts, to support the university’s long-term financial strength.

  • The Department of Technology Solutions supports enterprise applications, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity and technology administration to drive innovation, protect systems and strengthen operations across the UT System.

  • The Treasurer manages the university’s funds, oversees financial accounting, disbursing, reporting and ensures compliance with state laws and Board of Trustees policies.

DASH – UT System’s Revolutionary ERP

The UT System launched DASH, at the beginning of 2025, marking a major step in improving efficiency, accuracy and innovation across UT’s finance, human resources and payroll operations. Globally accessible and user friendly, this state-of-the-art cloud platform provides the statewide UT System with a more standardized platform to house finance, human resources and payroll needs, while also enhancing interactions with external systems to ensure seamless integration.
