Consortium for Cooperative Innovative Education
The Tennessee Consortium for Cooperative Innovative Education connects secondary and postsecondary partners to expand early credit opportunities and help students access pathways such as dual enrollment, dual credit, AP, CLEP and International Baccalaureate programs.
About CCIE
The Tennessee Consortium for Cooperative Innovative Education, as defined by state statute, is charged with developing and putting into effect a program to align secondary and postsecondary courses; developing and implementing early postsecondary credit opportunities; and creating marketing channels to advise students of early postsecondary education opportunities. Early postsecondary education opportunities may include, but are not limited to, dual enrollment, dual credit, Advanced Placement (AP), College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) and International Baccalaureate opportunities.

CCIE Membership
The co-chairs of the consortium are the chancellor of the Tennessee Board of Regents or their designee and the President of the University of Tennessee or their designee. The remaining members include the Executive Director of the Tennessee Higher Education Commission or their designee, the Executive Director of the Tennessee State Board of Education or their designee, and the Commission of Education or their designee.
