MARTIN – While student enrollment across the nation is experiencing historic declines, the University of Tennessee System is enjoying significant gains on its campuses, according to a report given at the fall meeting of the UT Board of Trustees.
MARTIN – The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees approved a request from UT Martin to name its new engineering building the Latimer-Smith Engineering and Science Building.

The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will hold its fall meetings Oct. 27-28 in the Boling University Center, Duncan Ballroom, located on the campus of the University of Tennessee, Martin.
Martin Glenn Glass in McMinnville, owned by Kallye and Justin Randolph, is the site of the newest mural in UT’s statewide campaign. Justin’s father bought the business in 1993, and today it has been in the Randolph family for 30 years.
Painting begins today on a shed at Johnson Farm, owned by Rena and the late Bill Johnson. When completed, the 80-foot-wide mural will be visible to the 2,907 travelers passing by each day on Roberts-Matthews Highway.
Crisp will lead the Tennessee Grow Your Own Center, an initiative of the University of Tennessee System, which this year received a $20 million grant from the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE).
