MARTIN – The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees approved a request from UT Martin to name its new engineering building the Latimer-Smith Engineering and Science Building.
The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will hold its fall meetings Oct. 27-28 in the Boling University Center, Duncan Ballroom, located on the campus of the University of Tennessee, Martin.
Based on the rise in COVID-19 Delta variant numbers across the state, campuses throughout the University of Tennessee System will adjust mask requirements for at least the next two weeks.
UT System President Randy Boyd is urging students, faculty and staff to talk with their families and healthcare providers about the benefits of receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.
“We continue to diligently monitor the situation across the state to make adjustments in the best interest of our students, faculty and staff,” said UT President Randy Boyd.
Members representing each UT campus and institute responded to COVID-19 challenges and worked to combat the issues of racial discrimination and social justice failures within higher education.
From transforming the way UT approaches diversity and inclusion to championing biomedical research, recipients of the 2020 President’s Awards embody excellence throughout the UT System.
The systemwide task force, assembled in April, released a report that provides guidance, recommendations and best practices to re-open the University’s campuses in the fall.
