MURFREESBORO – More than 370 individuals from the University of Tennessee System, state and local government, and various community organizations gathered for the two-day Grand Challenges Summit in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — University of Tennessee System President Randy Boyd delivered the 2025 State of the University Address, celebrating record-breaking achievements, expanding research efforts and highlighting the university’s growing impact across the state.
The University of Tennessee System has announced the recipients of the Grand Challenges Grants Type 2 Competition, an initiative designed to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing Tennessee and beyond.
For 50 years, the University of Tennessee — made up of many parts — has moved with one voice for the good of its students, faculty, alumni and state. On July 1, 1968, the parts became one as a system.
